The election will take place at the Association's Ordinary Meeting of the General Assembly, during the 7th International Palaeontological Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, Nov 30 - Dec. 3, 2026.
In accord with IPA's Constitution, additional nominations for any office can be made by any member, provided such nomination is supported by at least five other members, is made in writing, and is received by the Secretary-General before the opening of the next Ordinary Meeting of the General Assembly. Such nominations must include evidence that the nominee is eligible and willing to accept the office if elected.
